Answer:

\huge{ \bold{ \boxed{ \tt{n = 2}}}}

Explanation:

\text{ - 4n + 14 = - 2(n - 5)}

Distribute -2 through the parentheses

\text{↦ - 4n + 14 = - 2n + 10}

Move 2n to right hand side and change it's sign

\text{↦ \: - 4n + 2n + 14 = 10}

Move 14 to right hand side and change it's sign

\text{↦ \: - 4n + 2n = 10 - 14}

Combine like terms

\text{↦ \: - 2n = 10 - 14}

Remember : The negative and positive integers are always subtracted but posses the sign of bigger integer.

\text{↦ \: - 2n = - 4}

Divide both sides by -2

\rm{↦ \: ( - 2n)/( - 2) = ( - 4)/( - 2)}

\text{↦ \: n = 2}

The value of n is 2 .

Hope I helped!

Best regards! :D
