h(x) = −3 |x + 1| evaluate h (-3)

h (-3) means x = -3

Plug in:

h(x) = −3 |(-3) + 1| → h(x) = −3 |-3 + 1|

h(x) = −3 |-2| since -2 is an absolute value it becomes 2

h(x) = −3(2)

h(x) = -6
