The area of the pool is 3 times the area of the cafeteria.

Explanation:

Being that the dimension of the pool is 1.5 times larger than that of the cafeteria it means that 2 of it's sides are 1.5 times longer than the cafeterias. 2 x 1.5 = 3

So the area would be 3 times the area of the cafeteria.
