A truck whose bed is 2.5 m long, 1.5 m wide, and 1.0 m high is delivering sand for a sand-sculpture competition. About how many trips must the truck make to deliver 7 m³ of sand?

From these measurements provided the bed of the truck would be a Rectangular Prism. In order to calculate how much sand the bed can hold we need to find its volume which is calculated by multiplying the length, width, and height together.

V = 2.5m * 1.5m * 1.0m

V = 3.75
m^(3)

Now that we know how much the bed can hold we divide the total amount of sand that needs to be delivered by the amount the truck bed can hold to calculate the minimum number of trips that the truck needs to make
