So the area of a circle can be found with the equation A=πr2
If the radius is 8 we plug 8 into the equation
A=π8^2
We then square 8 which is 64
We now have
A= π64
We multiply 64 and pie so
A=201.06

Area of circle= pi x radius squared
R=8
8 x 8= 64
64 x pi= 201.06 squared cm
