AHHHHHHHH!! PLEASE help me if you guys know how to solve this

Suppose x = 7 is a solution to the equation 4x – 2(x + a) = 8. How can you find the value of a that makes the equation true?

Substitute the value of (a,x, or 8) into the equation, and then solve for (a,x, or 8)
