Part 1:
1. The different between a Pilgrim and Puritan is that the Pilgrims were referred to a separatists from the Church of England while the Puritans believed that the teachings should be taught in the New World. This helped to shape the New England states as some settlers went and bought land from the Narragansett tribes as they tried to get away from the ‘corrupt’ Church of England. With this, the land also expanded and more things were established in the New England states which primarily had to do with the religious beliefs and the different in Puritan and Pilgrim beliefs drove the separation into new land. Also, the Pilgrims many travelled for religious reasons to the New World.
Part 2:
2. pilgrims; freedom/religious freedom
3. The Mayflower went off course due to bad seas and weather which led them to the coast of MA
4. Because they had come to separate from England and they would use their own liberty as they wanted in the New World
5. It was one of the first documents to establish self-government in the New World
