y = 42 x = 96

Explanation:

since the 2 sides are the same then the 2 angles are too

if y is 42

then 42 + 42 = 84

180 - 84 = 96 = x

y=42° base angles in an isosceles are equal

x=180-(42×2)=96° angles in a triangle equal 180°
