Explanation:

well, it changed by 560 miles overall. in a matter of 3 months.

but for the rate of change I have to ask what is the unit of time for that consideration ?

the rate of change is the change of the functional value over an interval divided by the length of the interval.

if 3 months is the unit of time, then the change rate is 560/1 = 560 miles per quarter.

if the unit of time is 1 month, then the change rate is 560/3 miles per month.

if the unit of time is days, then we have 30+31+31 = 92 days in that interval, and the change rate is 560/92 = 140/23 miles per day.

and so on.
