Use the slope formula, y2-y1/x2-x1
(3,4)= (x1, y1). (0,-2)=( x2, y2)
-2-4/0-3= -6/-3=2
The slope equals 2
Then you have to find if there’s a y intercept so you use y=Mx+b
Plug one point in, -2=2(0)+b
-2=0+b. B=-2
The equation is y=2x-2

The equation of the line: y = -1/2x + 4 1/2

3 - 0 = 3

-2 - 4 = -6

-6/3 = -1/2

Slope: -1/2

y - 4 = -1/2( x - 3 )

y - 4 = -1/2x + 1/2

y = -1/2x + 4 1/2
