y=mx+c

where m is the slope and c is the y-intercept

so lets take all the date we have to achieve it.

We have a point (7,4) and slope which is m= -4 we can substitute the slope and point in our equation and find the y-intercept .


y=mx+c\\4=(-4)(7)+c\\4=-28+c\\32=c

so now we have our y-intercept that is c=32

now for the equation to be in the slope-intercept form we need m and c and we have both so just replace these variables with their values.


y=-4x+32
