the answer is D 46 cm

Explanation:

first you need to find the missing side measurements cutting in two separate figures. if one side is 2 you know the other side is also 2 same with the 4 if the top is 4 the bottom is 4 too so now you have the measurements for the first figure now you finder the area applying the formula

A=bxh

A= 4*2=8

second figure you know that one part of the rectangle top is 5 and if you add the 4 of the first figure give you the measurement of the top

5+4=9 so if the top is 9 the bottom is also 9

finally to find the other side you know the side is 6 and since you know one part of the first figure is 2 you need to subtract 6-2=4

A=bxh

A=9*4=28

once you have both you can add it 28+8=46
