Y=-1/4x+7 y=4x-4
is this a perpendicular or parallel line?

It's perpendicular

Explanation:

All you need to do to solve these problems is look at the slope, so the x in each equation

If it's parallel the slope will be the exact same (ex. y = 2x + 4 and y = 2x - 8)

If the equation is perpendicular the slopes will be Opposite Reciprocal so they have opposite signs (pos./neg.) and will be the reciprocal of each other (ex. 5 = 1/5)

So a perpendicular line will look like this- y = -4x + 2 and y = 1/4x - 2
