Question:- Find the area of the base?

Given in figure:-

  1. length:- 17mm
  2. width :- 34mm

Formula :-

Area = length × width

Explanation :-

area = l * w \\ area = 34 * 17 \\ area = \: 578 {mm}^(2)

Answer:- 578mm² = area

Question:- Find the volume of the whole figure?

Given in figure:-

  1. Length = 17mm
  2. width = 34mm
  3. height = 6mm

Formula :-

  1. Area of the side which is a 2D triangle× length.
  2. Area of the triangle = ½× Width× height.

Explanation :-

Area \: of \: the \: triangle = ½× width×height. \\ area \: = (1)/(2) * 34 * 6 \\ area = 34 * \frac{ {\cancel6} {}^( \: \: 3) }{ \cancel2} \\ area = 34 * 3 \: {mm}^(2) \\ area = 102 {mm}^(2)

Now for volume :-

volume \: = area \: * length \\ vol = 102 * 17 \: \: {mm}^(3) \\ vol \: = 1734{mm}^(3)

Answer:- 1734 mm³ = volume
