An architect needs two support beams for a building. One beam has a length of 2 (square foot) 3 meters. Another has a length of 3 (square foot) 2 meters. Explain how can you find which beam is longer.

Convert all units to meters

2 square foot = 0.1858 square meters=0.431 meter

First beam's length = 0.431 +3 =3.431 meters

3 square foot = 0.2787 square meters=0.528 meter

Second beam's length = 0.528 +2 = 2.528 meters
