\bold{Solution~Steps:}

1.)~Add~(1)/(15)~to~both~sides:

  • \bold{(7)/(3)+(1)/(15)=(35)/(15) }

  • \bold{Least~common~multiple~of~3~and~15~is~15.}

\bold{Convert~(7)/(3)~and~(1)/(15)~to~fractions~with~d.enominator~15.}

  • \bold{(35)/(15)+(1)/(15)=(36)/(15) }

  • \bold{Since~(35)/(15)~and~(1)/(15)~have~the~same~d.enominator,}

\bold{Add~them~by~adding\\~their~numerators.}

2.)~Reduce~the~fraction~(36)/(15) :

  • \bold{(36)/(15)=(12)/(5)}

  • \bold{Reduce~the~fraction~to~lowest~terms~by~extracting~and~canceling~out~3.}

3.)~Divide~both~sides~by~2:

  • \bold{(12)/(5)} ÷
    \bold{2= ?}

  • \bold{Express~(12)/(5)/5~as~a~single~fraction.}

  • \bold{(12)/(5*2)}

  • \bold{Multiply~5~and~2.}

  • \bold{5} ×
    \bold{2=10}

  • \bold{(12)/(10)}

4.)~Reduce~the~fraction~(12)/(10):

  • \bold{(6)/(5)}

  • \bold{Reduce~the~fraction~to~lowest~terms~by~extracting~and~canceling~out~2.}

\bold{Answer:}

  • \bold{Improper~Fraction~Form=(6)/(5)}

  • \bold{Mixed~Number~Form=1(1)/(5)}

  • \bold{Decimal~Form=1.2}

Answer:

x=18/15, or 1
(1)/(5)

Explanation:

Convert 7/3 into a fraction with denominator 15. Multiply both sides by 5 to get 35/15. Now, we add 1/15 to it to cancel out on both sides.

Our new equation is 2x=36/15

Divide by 2 on both sides

x=18/15, or 1
(1)/(5)
