According to the graph, there is a 81% chance of not rolling the 5. If it is 19% 5’s then 100 - 19 = 81.

Answer:

81%

Explanation:

1.

We know that the probability of spinning a five is 19% since:

19/100 = 0.19 = 19%

However, we are looking for the probability of NOT spinning a five. So, we will have to find the probability sum of the remaining numbers (1, 2, 3 and 4).

2.

- The probability of spinning a one is 20% since:

20/100 = 0.2 = 20%

- The probability of spinning a two is 18% since:

18/100 = 0.18 = 18%

- The probability of spinning a three is 22% since:

22/100 = 0.22 = 22%

- The probability of spinning a four is 21% since:

21/100 = 0.21 = 21%

3.

Now we will add all of these probabilities together to find the total probability of NOT spinning a five!

20% + 18% + 22% + 21% = 81%

Therefore, the probability of not spinning a five is 81%.

(While writing all of this down, I realized it was completely unnecessary)

Basically, the total probability of all of these numbers is equal to 100%. The probability of spinning a five is 19% as we inquired above. Therefore, all we need to do is subtract 19% from 100%!

100% - 19% = 81%
