when graphing an algebraic equation, it is important to remember mx+b and what it stands for. m is the variable used to describe the slope and when in the form of a fraction is rise over run/vertical over horizontal/up over side/etc. so for this one, start at the y-intercept (0,-2) and go up 1, over 5, then plot that point. then continue the pattern for you graph and do the same backwards so you go down 1 and to the left 5. x is the variable that normally stays a variable in the equation. and finally, b is the y-intercept, so when the line passes through a point where x = 0 (that part is normally confusing form me cuz its the y-intercept so just think of it as when the point is on the y axis). then, you can plot points to make the graph shown below. sorry the graph is kinda trash but you can see that when you go over 5 you go up one.
