Here is what the assignment asks for:

In a brief essay, explain how the invention of the train and the railroads contributed specifically to the farms and factories long distances from consumers and still able to get products to the consumers; include specific people or companies that were instrumental in the growth of the railroad and this growth change. Your response should be 3- 5 paragraphs using the Jane Schaffer writing format.

(I'm not asking you to write me an essay to use unless you want to haha)
But, I would really love it if someone could help share ideas on what to include. Also, if anyone has some websites and sources I could use, I would love your help.

the trains and railroads made good and resources accessible to those from far away. people were able to travel further distances faster then previous forms of transportation (horses, carriages, etc...). therefore, farms were able to sell more good and resources needed by other communities. companies that were growing include oil (i believe who was rockefeller) and iron (not sure of his name)
