The graph of the system of equations is in the image at the end.

How to graph the system of equations?

We have the system of equations:

2x + y = 6

6x + 3y = 18

To graph this, we just need to graph both lines in the same coordinate axis.

Remember that to graph a line you first need to find two points in the line, then plot the points, and then draw a line that passes trhough both of these points.

For example, for the first line:

if x = 0

2*0 + y = 6

y = 6

if y = 0

2*x + 0 = 6

x = 6/2

x = 3

So we have the points (0, 6) and (3, 0), with these we could graph that line.

The graph of the system of equations is in the image at the end. There we can see a single line, and this happens because if we multiply both sides of the first equation by 3:

3*(2x + y) = 3*6

6x + 3y = 18

We get the second equation.

So both equations represent the same line.
