I need the answer to “3x+2y=r solve for x”

x = (r - 2y)/(3)

Explanation:

3x + 2y = r

-2y -2y

3x = r - 2y

Now that 2y has been subtracted from both sides you can isolate the variable. To do that you would divide both sides by 3.


x = (r - 2y)/(3)
