Muhammad Ahmad would be especially effective at leading a resistance against the British because most of the people would join him in fighting against non-Islamic influences.

The Sudan part of Africa was were Muhammad led a resistance against the British people. He gained victory over the British.

The British people had invaded Sudan in order to gain control of the territory so that they would be able to gain the areas around the river Nile.

The goal was to have access to trading routes. The fight against the British was to stop the English people. This was because he wanted to establish an Islamic state in the area.
