Domain: Indicates the values that x can be, has a certain set

Range: Indicates the values that y can be, has a certain set

To find the domain of a graph, we want to see where all the x values fit. In the graph below's case, the domain would be -3<x≤1

To find the range, we need to see where all the y values fit. In the graph below's case, the range would be -4≤y<0.

Notice how some of them are < instead of ≤. This is because they have an open circle. When a point has an open circle, it means that point can't be included in the equation, hence the < instead of ≤
