The Earth's atmosphere is divided into five layers. The Exosphere is about 10,000km from the earth where the space shuttle gets to. The thermosphere is about 700km from the earth where the Aurora Borealis region is located. Mesosphere about 80km from the earth where the metro shower region is located. Stratosphere about 50 km from earth weather balloons region. Lastly, the troposphere is 12km from the earth is where the planes reach. All of the layers are divided based on their temperature levels.
