The heart receives oxygenated blood from the lungs through the pulmonary vein. It then pumps it into the aorta, which is the main artery that carries blood from the heart to distribute it throughout the body system

Answer:

The lungs hold air that is breathed in. Oxygen gas in the air moves into the blood.

The heart pumps to transports this oxygenated blood to cells in the body that need it to produce energy.
