Hi!

We have to use the phrases "tan... como" and the variations (tanto como, or tanto/a/os/as... como). The translation is: as ... as. We have to put the adjective between those words.

1) Laura y Rosa son muy simpáticas.

Laura es tan simpática como Rosa.

[The adjective is simpática (nice)}

2) Laura y Rosa visten bien.

Laura viste tan bien como Rosa.

[The adjective is bien (good/well)}

3) Laura y Rosa se despiertan temprano.

Laura se despierta tan temprano como Rosa.

[The adjective is temprano (early)}

4) Laura y Rosa estudian mucho.

Laura estudia tanto como Rosa.

[We don't add anything between because there's no adjective, we just have the verb "estudia" (study), so we write "tanto"]

5) Laura y Rosa hablan tres lenguas.

Laura habla tantas lenguas como Rosa.

[Here, the sentence explains that both speak three languages, but we write "Laura speaks as many languages as Rosa", we don't add the number of languages because we have to use as ... as.]

6) Laura y Rosa tienen muchos amigos.

Laura tiene tantos amigos como Rosa.

Translations:

1) Laura and Rosa are very nice.

Laura is as nice as Rosa.

2) Laura and Rosa dress well.

Laura dresses as well as Rosa.

3) Laura and Rosa wake up early.

Laura wakes up as early as Rosa.

4) Laura and Rosa study a lot.

Laura studies as much as Rosa.

5) Laura and Rosa speak three languages.

Laura speaks as many languages as Rosa.

6) Laura and Rosa have many friends.

Laura has as many friends as Rosa.
