x = 10

Explanation:

Both obects are similar right. That means that they must have similar angles, similar sizes and similar scale factors.

For me by just looking at the figires I can conclude a similar scale factor which is 1.7. However we are going to calculate the scale factor.

First we must take notice that the triangle D'E'F' is an enlargement. So to find the scale factor we must the same sides of both triangle and divide the larger sid by the smaller side.

68 ÷ 40 = 1.7

Now that we have the scale factor (1.7) we can now find x.

The similer side D'F' = 17 and DF = x.

We are gonna use the scale factor to divide D'F' to find DF.

17 ÷ 1.7 = 10

Therefore x is 10
