Does Money Make You Mean?

1. How did the study organizers fix the game of Monopoly to ensure certain players win?

- They switched the game up by randomly choosing one player to be poor and one to be rich. The rich get twice the money and twice the salary when they passed GO.

2. What were the results of the experiment?

- The rich players won but only acknowledged the things they did to win rather than the privilege they had at the beginning of automatically having more money.

3. What do the experimenters conclude based on this study and others?

- There's a lack of empathy and compassion in people who have a lot of money.

4. What are the implications these conclusions hold for our society?

- People who feel rich are deserved more because of their hard work even if all their money was given to them.

5. How do the conclusions from this experiment make you feel?

- The conclusions from the experiment make a lot of sense given to current society where social media exists some people were just born rich or with a platform to make money. I think quite a lot of people don't recognize their privilege.
