Answer:

1) The cartoonist expects the reader to respond to the illustration with emotions like anger, shock, sadness, etc.

2) Example response: My initial reaction to this cartoon was a wave of shock and sadness because of how real this cartoon is and how sad the truth behind it is. My first thought when I saw the top box was "He's going to get help" from the worried expression on the man's face as he's running, but then you look at the bottom portion of the picture, and your perspective completely changes as the man has a camera and is filming somebody drowning. It is unbelievable how social media has shaped what is on the internet, in this case, somebody drowning, or something really tragic happening, and people are behind a camera.

3) From a social perspective, the themes and issues this cartoon raises for us as citizens of the world are how we, as humans, need to find more compassion in our hearts to be on the other side of the camera, helping those in need of the help.

Step-by-step explanation:

I really hope this helps!

Answer:

1. The cartoonist expects the reader to feel negatively to this cartoon.

2. (example)- I felt a little shocked, in the first part of the comic i though the man shown running was going to get help for the person in the sand. I was shocked and disappointed when he came back with a camera. I though he was going to help, and him not helping but instead recording it because he felt it was entertaining was quite disgusting.

3. This shows the issue of people in our world often times we just record the things going on around us instead of helping. On social media you can see so many videos of people needing help but not receiving it even though someone is there, just recording.

Step-by-step explanation:

Not sure if this what your looking for but i hope this helps.
