One cultural myth that originated from Greece was the Arachne and Athena myth. There was this beautiful girl with black thick locks of hair and milky skin. Her specialty was weaving. The girl could weave so well and even boasted to everyone that she was better at weaving than Athena. Athena was the craft goddess so she obviously got offended. One day she came down to earth to have a weaving competition with Arachne . They started and finished their weavings and Arachne's was better than Athena's. Now keep in mind that Athena was a goddess. She got so angry that she turned Arachne into a spider so she could weave for the rest of her life. This story taught us that you shouldn't be so boastful or things might end up bad for you.
