x = 5.5y - 1

Explanation:

this is an equilateral triangle.

(you know that because the sides all have a line through them, meaning they are equal.)

this means that the angles are also equal.

using that, you can make this equation:

7x - 3 = 11y + 5

7x = 11y + 5 - 3

7x - 11y = 2

7x = 11y - 2

x = (11y - 2 )/2

x = 5.5y - 1

I think that's as simplified as it goes..
