we multiply 4 by each number in the matrix the method is called scalar multiplication so our 4A matrix becomes


-4A=\left[\begin{array}{ccc}20&-24&20\\-24&-12&-36\\\end{array}\right]

Just the signs changed though in the solution. This is the correct answer didn't see the negative sign before my bad .
