4(x - 3) + 5x - x^2

Substitute x with 3

4(3 - 3) + 5(3) - 3^2

Solve via PMDAS so Parenthesis first

4(0) + 5(3) - 3^2

Multiply then the rest is Self-Explanatory

15 - 9

x = 6
