What is the diffrence between an autosomeand and a sex chromosome????

Autosomes don’t carry any genes that determine the sex of an individual. Sex chromosomes carry sex-determining genes. There is one pair of sex chromosomes which is X & Y in all mammals. All the rest (22 pairs in humans) are autosomes.
