You have a bag with 30 fireballs and another bag with 42 jolly ranchers. For a party, you want to repackage the candy into smaller bags, with the same number of fireballs and jolly ranchers. How many of fireballs and jolly ranchers will you put in the smaller bags?

Answer:

5 and 7 respectively

Explanation:

The idea is to find the greatest common factor

given that the number of fireballs is

30

and the number of Jolly ranchers is

42

let us find the greatest common factors between 30 and 42, as this will represent the

fireballs 30 =2*3*5

Jolly ranchers 42= 2*3*7

therefore you will put 5 fireball and 7 Jolly ranchers in a the small bags
