Why is it important to understand the environment and the need for accommodations? People with disabilities can only hold certain jobs. People with low vision cannot use a computer. It is against the law to make accommodations for people. People at school and work deserve to be treated equally and to have access to equal opportunities.

Answer:

People at school and work deserve to be treated equally and to have access to equal opportunities.

Step-by-step explanation:

Sadly, the unemployment rate for people with disabilities is much higher than the unemployment rate for people without disabilities. It is understandable that people with certain disabilities cannot perform all available jobs, e.g. a blind person cannot drive a bus. But most disabled people that are actively participating in the labor market can perform most of the tasks that people without disabilities can, e.g. you can work at an office even if you are missing a leg or an arm.

The problem that many disabled people face is that workplaces are not accommodated for them and that represents a form of discrimination. The largest problem that disabled people face at their workplace is having difficulties walking or climbing stairs. E.g. people that use wheelchairs need a ramp.
