Let's say we are given a table such as the one attached. First we want to find 2 different points. In this example one of the points is (1,1) and another is (2,5). We want to use the equation m=
\frac{y_(2)-y_(1) }{x_{2-x_(1) } } this will give us 5-1/2-1. This gives us 4. Now we have found our slope. y = 4x + b. Since we have a x = 0 point on the table we know the y intercept is at (0,-3). We now have y = 4x - 3. Tell me if you have anymore questions :)
