Answer:

1) plants use photosynthesis to produce glucose, but the use cellular respiration to release energy from glucose so yes they do perform cellular respiration

2) a muscle cell because mitochondria is the site of cellular respiration (releasing energy from glucose) and they need more energy for muscle contraction
