Explanation:

Hey there!

The given equation is; y= -3/4x+1...........(i)

The equation of a line which passes through point (9,12) is;

(y-y1) = m2(x-x1)

(y-12) = m2(x-9).................(ii)

From equation (i)

y = -3/4x+1

Slope (m1) = -3/4

As per the condition of perpendicular lines;

m1*m2= -1

- (3)/(4) * m2 = - 1

-3m2 = -4

m2 = ( - 4)/( - 3)

Therefore, m2= 4/3.

Putting value of m2 in eqaution (i).

(y-12) = 4/3(x-9)

y - 12 = (4)/(3) x - 9 * (4)/(3)

y = (4)/(3) x - 3 + 12

Therefore, the equation is; y = 4/3x +9.

Hope it helps...
