examples for discipline :

1-self discipline : the ability to control one's feelings and overcome one's weaknesses.

2-personal resilience : Resilience is the ability to bounce back from a negative experience or difficult challenge. Successful Young Adults.

3-habit : is a routine of behavior that is repeated regularly and tends to occur subconsciously.

punishment is the imposition of an undesirable or unpleasant outcome upon a group or individual, meted out by an authority—in contexts ranging from child discipline to criminal law—as a response and deterrent to a particular action or behavior that is deemed undesirable or unacceptable.

also there is positive punishment and negative punishment

examples of negative punishment :

1- teenager has a curfew of 10 p.m. She misses her curfew by 10 minutes. Her parents take away the Bluetooth speaker in her room for three days.

2- teen answers his phone in the classroom, interrupting the teacher. The teacher takes away his phone for the rest of the day.

examples of positive punishment:

1- worker at a computer company is found surfing the internet during downtime rather than checking inventory. His boss calls him into his office and gives the worker a verbal scolding.

2-At a customer service center, a worker is found being rude to customers on the phone. The worker is then sent down to the HR department and given extra training on phone etiquette.
