Answer:

1 inch = 60 mi

Explanation:

Part one:

1 inch = 30 mi

4 x 30 = 120

6 x 30 = 180

120 x 180 = 21600

Area - 21600 sq mi

Part two:

Area - 6 inches

Length to width ratio - 4 : 6 = 2 : 3

120 / 2 = 60

180 / 3 = 60

1 inch = 60 mi

Please let me know if I'm incorrect!!

Answer:

a) 21600 miles square

(30×6) × (4×30) = 21600

b) 1 inch to 60 miles

3×2=6

21600÷6=3600 (area of 1unit square)

square root to find side length = 60 miles
