Good authors choose their words very carefully. Take a few minutes to write a short paragraph describing an experience you have recently had. Pick a location you went to or an event you attended. Once you have finished, read over what you have written. Now, write a second paragraph. In it, you will repeat the information from the first paragraph, but you will choose your words more carefully. Ask yourself questions like: What words capture this image exactly? What is the best word to convey how something looked, or how I felt? Take more time with the second paragraph. Your response should be at least 150 words in total.

Answer:

Big puffy white clouds burst out of the lavender and watermelon pink sky. The outlines of the clouds were so conspicuous that they looked

3D. The sun gave enough light to add a little glow to the clouds. A light breeze picked up causing the green wiry grass to sway. I breathed in smelling the pleasant air. This would be a lovely place to think but I couldn't I was waiting. Moments passed. I was questioning myself but then I saw him. He wore a mint t-shirt and khaki shorts. His hair was golden the way the sun reflected on it. I still saw his piercing blue eyes from here. He dropped a woven basket that was in his hand to run to me. When we met he embraced me tightly. He didn't let go. Billions of years wouldn't be enough time to describe this tiny moment in words. We finally let our embrace fall.

I did not feel like writing the first paragraph
