How can I simplify this expression and justify it ​

Explanation:

6(2x+y) comes first 12x+6y then you take 2y and add it from 6y giving you 8y and that gives you the most simplified answer 12x and -12x cancel each other out

=12x+6y+2y+−12x

Combine Like Terms:

=12x+6y+2y+−12x
