Since we know that an increase of 1 on either the x, or y value is equal to 5 feet, we can form an equation where x = the amount that the value increased, so since the fountain is at (-2, -2) and the slide is at (-2, 0), we see that there is an increase of 2 to the y-value, meaning our equation should now be 5(2) which equals 10.

Because we use 5x and 5y to solve this, we can already see how to do this. If the swings are at (5, -2) and the fountain is at (-2, -2), we can see that there was an increase of 7 on the x-value, meaning that our equation would now be 5(7), which equals 35.
