Daniel is currently 26 years older than his son. In six years he will be three times older

than his son. How old are both of them now?

So Daniel=x+26. x representing Daniel's son's age which we do not know.

In six years he will be three times his son's age, "times" meaning multiplication.

Daniel+6=3x, so just equate the two equations. So you must solve;

x+26=3x-6. From there I think you could handle things.
