11. In 1901, the magnetic bearing of a line was N 50° 15’ W and the magnetic declination was 4° 10’ E. In 2020, the magnetic declination at this location is 2° 35’ W. What is the present magnetic bearing?

Answer: present magnetic bearing is 43° 30' W

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that ;

True bearing = magnetic bearing ± Declination

TB = MB ± Declination

from the first image

True Bearing = 50° 15’ - 4° 10’ = 46° 5' W

Now from the Second image

True bearing will remain the same,

So Magnetic bearing will be = 46° 5' - 2° 35’

Magnetic Bearing = 43° 30' W

therefore present magnetic bearing is 43° 30' W
