Complete Question

Tarush is a landscape architect. For his first public project he is asked to create a small scale drawing of a garden to be placed in the corner of a city park. The garden is a right triangle with base 10 m and height 15 m.

Draw the garden such that 1 unit on the grid below represents 2 m

Answer:

Base = 5m

Height = 7.5 m

Explanation:

The original garden(right triangle) has a base of 10m and Height of 15 m

We are asked to redraw or rescale the triangle such that 1 unit = 2m

Hence: our Scale factor = 2m

Therefore, for the diagram of the garden on the grid has the following new dimensions:

The Base = 10m/2 = 5m

The Height = 15m/ 2 = 7.5m
