Answer: Genesis says that when you divide fractions that you multiply by the reciprocal of the divisor

Explanation:

When dividing fractions, the Dividend is the first fraction, while the second fraction is the Divisor. This puts the first fraction in position of the numerator and the second fraction in the position of the denominator.

For instance,

Divide : (1/2) by (1/4)

(1/2) / (1/4)

1/2 = Dividend ; 1/4 = Divisor

To correctly solve this;

We multiply the reciprocal of the divisor by the Dividend

Reciprocal of Dividend :

1/4 = 4/1 (reciprocal)

Hence,

(1/2) * (4/1) = 4/2 = 2

Using a calculator to perform the division directly, the same result will be obtained.
