Put y 's value in second equation

  • 2x-5=-6x+3
  • 2x+6x=3+5
  • 8x=8
  • x=1

And

  • y=2(1)-5=-3

Solution is (1,-3)

Verification

  • -3=2(1)-5
  • -3=2-5
  • -3=-3

Verified
