Explanation:

Hey there!

The given points are;(-2,-2) and (2,1)

Now, using double point formula.

(y - y1) = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1) (x - x1)

Put all values.

(y + 2) = (1 + 2)/(2 + 2) (x + 2)

(y + 2) = (3)/(4)(x + 2)

y + 2 = (3)/(4) x + 2 * (3)/(4)

y = (3)/(4) x + (3)/(2) - 2

y = ( 3 )/(4) x - (1)/(2)

Therefore, the equation is; y = 3/4x - 1/2.

Hope it helps...

Answer:

y =(3)/(4)x -(1)/(2)

Explanation:

Slope = Change of y/Change of x

-2 - 1 = -3

-2 - 2 = -4

Slope = -3/4

Slope = 3/4

y = 3/4x + b

Solve for b, by plugging in one point mentioned

1 = 3/4(2) + b

1 = 1.5 + b

-1.5

-0.5 = b

Y = 3/4x -1/2

Hope this helps! :)
